3 days itinerary for a trip from Marrakech to Fes is an exciting adventure, allowing you to explore some of Morocco’s most captivating cities and landscapes.
This itinerary provides a well-rounded experience, allowing you to explore both the historical and natural wonders of Morocco as you travel from Marrakech to Fes.
Start your journey early in the morning by departing from Marrakech. Visit the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular filming location. Lunch: - Have lunch in a local restaurant in Aït Benhaddou. Afternoon: Continue your trip To Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco." Visit the Atlas Film Studios or the Taourirt Kasbah. Dinner and Overnight Stay: - Have dinner and spend the night in a hotel in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, head east towards the Sahara Desert. Stop at the Todra Gorge to admire its stunning rock formations. Lunch: - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the Todra Gorge. Afternoon: Continue your trip to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Arrive in Merzouga and check your camp in desert. Evening: Experience a camel trek into the desert and enjoy the sunset over the dunes. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp, where you can enjoy a Moroccan dinner and music under the stars.
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, return to Merzouga village by camel. Then, we leave the desert and drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its green oasis and palms. Arrive in Midelt around midday and have lunch. Midelt is known for its apple orchards and beautiful surrounding landscapes.
After lunch, head towards Azrou. We take some time to explore the cedar forests, and it's a great place to see Barbary macaques.
From Azrou, continue our trip to Ifrane. Ifrane is known for its European-style architecture and clean streets and is often called the "Switzerland of Morocco." Arrive in Fez in the evening.
