5 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech
After we meet you at your Riad in Marrakech, we start the desert tour in the morning and drive through the Tizi n'Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains "2260m". Continue to Ouarzazate, where we will have lunch and explore the Taourirt Kasbah. We head towards Agdez Oasis in the afternoon and cross the Anti Atlas mountain "1700m". Arrive before sunset; dinner and night at the guest house.
Today, you will have a short walk to explore the Agdez Oasis, and then we drive through the scenic Draa Valley, the longest river in Morocco, "1100km". Stop in Zagora to explore the town and enjoy lunch. Our adventure continues with a visit to Tamgrout and its famous Koranic library. Arrive at Mhamid in the evening and have dinner and night at our desert camp—a traditional Musical night around the campfire under the stars.
After a delicious breakfast, we take the 4x4 to the Chegaga Dunes, where you will enjoy the camel ride experience for 1 hour with friendly local guides and explore the vast Sahara desert. Climbing the dunes and enjoying the sunset from the top is a memorable and powerful moment. After a charming dinner, there will be time to enjoy the nomadic music around the campfire.
Depart from Erg Chegaga in the morning. Drive through the desert landscape via Iriki Lake, then Foum Zguid, where we take the paved road to Tazankht, famous for its Berber rugs and carpets. Arrive at Ait ben Haddou Ksar, "fortified Village", a UNESCO World Heritage site. And it's the most famous beautiful Kasbah in Morocco and for Hollywood films. Visit the Kasbah. Dinner and night at Hotel/riad in Ait ben Haddou.
Today we leave Ait Ben Haddou and drive through the stunning Ounila Valley, then to Telouate Kasbha, which belonged to the Glaoui Family, the lords of the Atlas. We stop to visit that historic fortress. Our trip
continues back to Marrakech, crossing the high Atlas Mountain.
Arrive in Marrakech by the end of the day. Hopefully, you enjoyed the 5-day desert tour with us from Marrakech to the desert.
